Responsibilities Of Intern:

  • Uses Lean manufacturing principles to improve manufacturing methods.

  • Working with the Optimisation Manager to optimize manpower and equipment utilization, using tools like standardized worksheets and balancing & leveling.
  • Creating value stream maps, time studies, and area layouts.
  • Working with Manufacturing Technology Engineers to analyze cost benefits and evaluate business cases.
  • Collaboration with global teams is required for product design, tools, and fixtures.
  • Consulting with vendors to purchase equipment, materials, or parts.
  • Applies statistical methods to understand production and quality trends.

Abilities and Expertise:

  • The ideal candidate for this position should have a degree in mechanical engineering, production or manufacturing engineering, or industrial engineering.
  • Experience in industrial engineering or process planning in a production environment.
  • Additionally, experience in project planning, optimization, and implementation for processes, material flows, layouts, and production equipment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, process development, and project engineering is required.
  • Excellent conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with CAD and Illustrator is a plus
  • Statistical training or exposure to Six Sigma would be beneficial.
